• Roughneck debaters competed in the Lindale Tournament on Saturday. Lynzi Smith went 3-0 and placed 6th. Robert Early went 3-0 and placed 1st. Robert was also awarded Top Speaker in the tournament. Congratulations to both of you and to Mrs. Lattin.
  • Congratulations to our Lit Crit team and Mrs. Shellhorse for being 3rd Place team at the Lindale Academic meet this weekend. Great job!
  • White Oak Ready Writers attended the UIL Academic Meet at Lindale High School this past weekend.  Out of 38 writers, White Oak had two place in the top ten! Chloe Bates placed 8th, and Ryan Banks brought home the gold!! Congratulations to you both and to Mrs. Noble. The Ready Writers will be travelling to Whitehouse this weekend.  Anyone interested in joining our team, please see Mrs. Noble during enrichment today.
  • Varsity Volleyball will play their first playoff game tomorrow in Union Grove against Ore City at 6:00. If you won’t be in San Antonio tomorrow with our band, go out and support the Ladynecks!
  • Anyone interested in applying for Rotary Youth Leadership Award and Camp please pick up an application in Mrs. Deck’s office. Applications are due by November 7th.
  • Tonight at 7 pm, the band will do a performance of their State Qualifying drill for the school and community. This will be at Roughneck stadium tonight, so come out and support the band.
  • The band will leave tomorrow to compete in the UIL State Marching Contest. We will do a send off tomorrow for them.  We will call you to line up along White Oak Road around 9:15 when they are ready to go.  We wish them and Mr. Steele the best of luck as they compete with the best in the state and also wish them safe travels.  Go show them what a Military Band is supposed to look like!
  • If you are going to support the band and are missing school, you should have already talked to me and discussed how you may be excused. Anyone who has not done this will receive unexcused absences for the days you miss.  No one is excused from class until the band leaves tomorrow.
