  • Students who signed up for the golf team need to meet with Coach Iske in the Plato Lab during enrichment Friday.
  • There will be no college History class tomorrow. Students who are in College Government need to come by my office sometime today to talk about the class schedule.
  • Seniors-If you have not received or picked up a senior info sheet, please pick one up in Mrs. Frazier’s office today. This is the list of accomplishments you have for your high school career that is used in the yearbook. They are due back by Tuesday, January 21 in Mrs. West’s room.
  • Our cheerleaders will compete tomorrow in the UIL State Cheer Competition at the Fort Worth Convention Center. We will do a send off for the team today before we go to lunch.  I will call you when they are ready to leave and we will go outside the front of the school to to WO Road to send them off.  We wish them the best of luck and they compete and represent our school.  Students who have gotten permission to attend in support, please be careful in your travels to and from Fort Worth.  Traffic is always bad in the mornings in Dallas, Arlington, and Fort Worth, so take your time and get there and back safely!
  • I want to congratulate the entire student body and staff for the achievements that were published in the Longview New Journal today. White Oak high school led the entire region in graduation rates.  We had 99%, beating the region and state averages.  We love first place!  White Oak had 0% drop out rates, tying with SH.  Our attendance rate was 95.9%, which was way above the region and state averages.  So I just want you to know, we are extremely proud of how you take care of your business and do the right thing.  Teachers and counselors, I appreciate all that you do to ensure our students leave here in 4 years with the best opportunity possible.  Congratulations everyone!
